FIFA adds another big-name artist to its impressive World Cup Finals performance cast. Post Malone will headline the closing ceremony on Sunday.

As if the FIFA World Cup 2026 halftime show wasn’t already stacked with iconic performers, global superstar Post Malone has been announced to headline the closing ceremony. His landmark performance will kick off at the New York New Jersey Stadium on Sunday, July 19.

Produced in creative partnership with Balich Wonder Studio, the closing ceremony will start at 1:30 PM local time, 90 minutes before kick-off, and fuse global entertainment and soccer in a moment designed to unite the world. Post Malone will deliver a headline performance befitting the scale of the occasion.

“At a time when sport, culture, and global attention converge, Post Malone will deliver a performance designed to celebrate the tournament’s journey and ignite the atmosphere before the world’s attention turns to the two finalists,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino.

“We are thrilled to have so many stars taking to the pitch, from both the football and entertainment worlds. The closing ceremony will set the tone for a historic FIFA World Cup final, uniting the passion of 48 teams, 16 host cities, and millions of fans on one unforgettable stage.”

The news comes amid excitement for FIFA’s first-ever World Cup Final halftime show, which will support the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, an initiative aiming to raise $100 million to expand access to quality education and sports opportunities for children worldwide.

Jennifer Hudson will sing a special rendition of the United States national anthem before the final kicks off. She recently sang “God Bless America” at the MLB All-Star Game in Philadelphia. The “American Idol” alum has proven her mettle over the last two decades, becoming a successful singer, actress, and producer.

Madonna, Shakira, Justin Bieber, Gustavo Dudamel, and BTS will co-headline the historic halftime event, taking place on Sunday, July 19, at the New York New Jersey Stadium. Shakira will perform her song “Dai Dai”—the FIFA World Cup Official Song—alongside Burna Boy. Madonna also released a track, “Read My Lips,” which features on the Official FIFA World Cup 2026 Album.

Additionally, FIFA Music Ambassador Robbie Williams, who released the first-ever FIFA anthem, “Desire,” last year, will also perform. He will be joined by Pussycat Doll Nicole Sherzinger, who performed the song with Williams at the Final Draw for the FIFA World Cup 2026 in Washington, D.C. last year. The pair will be joined by singer-songwriter Laura Pausini to perform the Spanish part of the song.

The performances will be curated by Chris Martin of Coldplay and broadcast live to millions of fans around the world.

Fans attending the final in person are encouraged to arrive early to experience the full pre-match program. The closing ceremony will begin 90 minutes before kick-off, with stadium gates opening at 11:00 AM local time. Supporters will be able to enjoy a range of exclusive activations, entertainment, and fan experiences before the ceremony begins.
