Larry David, Colin Jost, Miles Teller, Stephen Curry, Jason Kelce and Charles Barkley are just a few of the stars competing in this year’s American Century Championship — the annual celebrity golf tournament in Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

Now in its 37th year, the tournament will feature more than 80 competitors from across the worlds of football, basketball, hockey, baseball and entertainment, all competing in a 54-hole championship while raising money for charitable causes. Along with a $750,000 purse, including $150,000 for the winner, the event continues its tradition of supporting local and national nonprofits throughout the week.

The 2026 field features a mix of returning fan favorites and first-time competitors. Reigning champion and NHL star Joe Pavelski returns to defend his title, while other players include Tony Romo, Drew Brees, Jason Kelce, Trevor Lawrence, Jerry Rice, Annika Sorenstam, Patrick Peterson, Kyle Lowry and Matthew Tkachuk.

The tournament’s appeal comes from its unique mix of sports and entertainment stars, and this year’s roster adds another group of notable newcomers.

Making their tournament debuts are several NFL standouts, including Drake Maye, quarterback for the New England Patriots, and Kyle Hamilton, safety for the Baltimore Ravens. The field also features three NFL head coaches stepping onto the course for the first time: Mike Macdonald, head coach of the Seattle Seahawks, Robert Saleh, head coach of the Tennessee Titans, and Kevin O’Connell, head coach of the Minnesota Vikings.

Beyond football, the newcomer lineup expands across the sports and entertainment worlds with Payton Pritchard, guard for the Boston Celtics, and Doc Rivers, NBA Hall of Fame coach, making their first appearances at the tournament. Hockey fans can also watch Brady Tkachuk, four-time NHL All-Star forward, compete, while Brett Young, country music singer and songwriter, and Sean McDonough, veteran sports broadcaster, round out the entertainment and media additions.
