Kane Brown is recovering after a gruesome head injury.
The 32-year-old country music singer was scheduled to perform at the Tight Ends & Friends Concert Presented by Sports Illustrated and Reese’s in Nashville on Tuesday, June 23, but had to miss the event after he suffered a concussion from getting hit in the head by a golf ball.
“Kane Brown got hit with a golf ball today on the golf course; 23 stitches,” former NFL player Will Compton said before joking, “He says concussion — the football guys probably don’t buy it.”
That same day, Kane took to his Instagram Story to share some photos and details about his injuries.
“Shot in the head by a golf ball,” he wrote as he showed off his bloody ear.
In the second photo, Kane showed off the stitches, and wrote, “Just a scratch.”
The “Used to Love You Sober” singer then shared a series selfie, writing, “That said it will prob get worse next 48 hours but I’m alive and that’s all that matters holy crap.”
The following day, Kane‘s wife Katelyn took to her own Instagram Story to share more context about his injury.
“This wasn’t a golf ball that had been flying through the air and had been losing momentum. He was right off the side from it,” she said in the video. “It could have been so much worse.”
Katelyn continued, “We got great news after his CT scans —nothing internally, no skull fractures — this was just all basically external with a minor concussion. We were so relieved.”
While Kane was forced to miss the Tight Ends & Friends Concert, Taylor Swift ended up giving a surprise performance of one of her biggest songs!
We wish Kane Brown a speedy recovery!
