Nate Bargatze‘s representative has explained why he was at the UFC Freedom 250 event on Sunday night (June 14) at the White House, which corresponded with Donald Trump‘s birthday.
The 47-year-old stand up comedian was one of several celebrities at the event, which has drawn criticism online.

“Nate is family friendly entertainment first. He is not political nor is anything he produces. He is also a huge UFC fan and has been since before it became political,” his rep told the Huffington Post.
His spokesperson added he has “fans from both sides of the aisle” and has made appearances on news programs that cater to different political affiliations, including The View and Fox and Friends.
He was seen in a photo with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines, and to explain that, his representative said that he “doesn’t turn down photo requests” and “there’s a photo of him and Don Lemon somewhere.”
