EXCLUSIVE: Dig out your Juicy Couture tracksuits, oversized sunglasses and Von Dutch trucker hats because Paris Hilton is going back to the early 2000s.

Hilton is producing a documentary on the era for Roku.

The heiress will feature in and exec produce The It Girls: Inside the 2000s (w/t) for the streamer. Her production company 11:11 Media is producing alongside EverWonder Studio, the company behind Netflix hit Reality Check: Inside America’s Next Top Model, and Hi Mom Productions, the company behind Hulu’s Million Dollar Nannies.

It comes two years after Hilton optioned Sarah Ditum’s book Toxic: Women, Fame and the Tabloid 2000s with plans to turn it into a doc.

The book covers the aught main characters including Hilton, Britney Spears, Lindsay Lohan, Aaliyah, Janet Jackson, Amy Winehouse, Kim Kardashian, Chyna and Jennifer Aniston.

The documentary, which is now in pre-production, will explore the time when paparazzi, tabloids and reality television transformed celebrities into commodities and fundamentally changed the relationship between fame, media and popular culture. It will feature archive, never-before-seen conversations and new interviews with the major figures involved.

It comes after Roku hired former Lifetime exec Nicole Vogel to oversee its pop-culture business, building on The Reunion: Laguna Beach.

It is exec produced by Hilton, Ditum , Bruce Gersh, Bruce Robertson, Joanna Studebaker, Jon Adler, Amanda Spain, Missy Walker, Andrea Metz and Michelle Peerali.

“The early 2000s changed everything about what it meant to be famous, and who better to talk about those moments than the women who lived it,” said Hilton. “We were living in a world where the cameras were always on, the headlines were everywhere, and there was no playbook for what came next. Looking back now, it’s crazy to see how much that era shaped the celebrity culture we know today. It was incredibly exciting but also complicated. We were basically the original influencers before there was even a word for it. I love that we can now revisit those moments from our own perspective and show how the women who were once the subjects of the headlines became the authors of their own narratives.”

“At Roku, we’re building an original content slate that captures and creates the entertainment and pop culture moments audiences can’t stop talking about,” added Brian Tannenbaum, Head of Originals, Roku Media. “Few eras are as nostalgic, fascinating and culturally defining as the early 2000s. We’re thrilled to partner with Paris Hilton—one of the era’s most iconic figures—and this incredible production team to tell the definitive story of an era that forever changed celebrity culture.”
