EXCLUSIVE: Miss USA may have broken up with The CW, but rival competition Miss World has founf a new home.

The grand finale of Miss World 2026 will stream free this Saturday (September 5) on streamer Fawesome at 6am PT/9am ET. The event is being held in Nha Trang, Vietnam, where the show will go out at 7pm local time.

Miss World is one of the longest-running international pageants, with events such as the ‘Beauty with a Purpose’ segment, the ‘Head-to-Head’ live debate and ‘Top Model’ runway section. It has been taking place this week in Asia. Future Today-owned Fawesome has now swooped for the global free streaming rights.

“Miss World has spent seven decades turning a global stage into a platform for community impact, and that is exactly the kind of programming free streaming should be democratizing,” said Vikrant Mathur, Co-Founder of Future Today. “Twenty years ago, an event like this sat behind a cable subscription. On Fawesome, it takes two clicks and costs nothing.”

Miss World was first held in London, UK, in 1951. Vietnam’s Suchata Chuangsri is the current titleholder, having won the 2026 event in India.

“Live events have always had the power to bring people together, and as Miss World continues its legacy, our priority is making that experience accessible to audiences around the world. With the event airing across 100 countries worldwide, we’re reaching an unprecedented global audience,” said Emma Gosling, official distributor of the Miss World Live Event.

“Partnering with Fawesome in North America allows us to meet viewers wherever and however they choose to engage. It gives our contestants, their Beauty with a Purpose initiatives and our global audience a modern stage.”

For Fawesome, the deal with Miss World continues a push into live event streaming. The company pointed to Nielsen’s 2026 Upfront Planning Guide, which noted that live event programming captures 19% of all FAST platform streaming.

“Whether it’s original storytelling, competition formats or live global events, we’re focused on giving audiences a reason to tune in,” added David Di Lorenzo, SVP Content Acquisitions and Partnerships at Future Today. Live event programming is quickly becoming a cornerstone of the Fawesome experience.”

The news comes after The CW dropped both the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants in August. Though no reason was given, the U.S. network issued a brief statement saying the move came after “careful consideration and conversations with the Miss USA Organization.”
