Months after Law Roach hinted that Zendaya and Tom Holland had privately tied the knot, Holland officially confirmed their wedding has indeed already happened.
While discussing the AI-generated photos that circulated online showing a fake ceremony between the Marvel stars in Lake Como, Holland revealed to Esquire that his grandmother worried she hadn’t been invited to the wedding.
As for whether any other family and friends were tricked by the AI photos, Holland said, after a lengthy pause, “No, because they were all there.”
But while fans will likely forever clamor for more information, the 30-year-old was firm in keeping the details private.
As he told the outlet, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”
Rumors that Zendaya and Holland had quietly married began when her longtime stylist Roach dropped the bomb on a red carpet.
“The wedding has already happened,” he told Access Hollywood at the Actor Awards in March. “You missed it.”
And in response to the stunned disbelief, the 47-year-old affirmed with a laugh, “It’s very true.”
But while Zendaya—who fueled marriage rumors by wearing a gold band alongside her engagement ring in the weeks after Roach's comments—and Holland have long endeavored to keep their life together outside the public eye, Holland didn’t shy away from explaining why his relationship with his now-wife just works.
“Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he explained to Esquire. “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else. So, for me, I found my person.”
He continued, “She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I ever have been when I’m with her, but I also have never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
