After all, the Crashing Landing on You alum provided a peek into her vacation with her and husband Hyun Bin's 3-year-old son Kim Woo-jin.
Son shared multiple photos of herself and Woo-jin on Instagram June 17 as they enjoyed a seaside outing at low tide. She captioned the post, "The first day of the trip."
For the occasion, the 44-year-old wore a cream-colored T-shirt, striped shorts and flip-flops, while the toddler spent the day in brown shorts, a patterned button-up and water shoes.Â
It's a rare family update for Son and Hyunâwho tied the knot in March 2022 after two years of datingâas the couple has preferred to keep much of their personal life out of the public eye, even covering Woo-jin's face with an emoji.
After welcoming their son in November 2022, the actressâwho worked with Hyun in 2018's The Negotiation before leading Crash Landing on Youâshared how motherhood had shifted her perspective on life.
"Marriage and childbirth are completely different worlds from the one I lived in before," Son said in Korean at the Bucheon International Fantastic Film Festival press conference in July 2024, per SBS Star. "Raising a child for nearly two years has made me realize the preciousness of everyday life and it has brought me a lot of happiness."
"Before, work was everything to me and I struggled to separate my personal life from it," she admitted. "Nowadays, if my child just eats well, it makes me so happy. I find joy in getting through the day and ending it safely. My values have changed a bit."
The A Moment to Remember actress knows that, despite the ups and downs of motherhood, she was meant for this role.
"Parenting is tough, but it brings a different kind of happiness," she emphasized. "I'm living very happily and doing extremely well right now."
The feeling is mutual for Hyun, who also had a newfound outlook after Woo-jin was born.
"The recent changes changed me completely," he explained to Dazed in February 2023. "I began seeing things that I couldn't see before, and hearing things that I couldn't hear before. I've become much more careful, thoughtful and happier."Â
"I feel complete when I get home after work," Hyun, 43, added. "Honestly, I would even say that's the only time when I feel totally complete. There are no words to describe how I felt then. The feelings are beyond description."
