Although the Los Angeles FC forward is among the most recognizable players in Major League Soccer—also serving as South Korea’s captain playing in the World Cup 2026 —he admitted it’s easy for him to keep a low profile in Hollywood.

“Just be myself,” Son explained to E! News' The Rundown host Erin Lim Rhodes in an exclusive interview during the 2026 MLS All-Star Game. “I don’t do much crazy things. Most of the times I’m at home. People don’t see me.”

Indeed, while the 34-year-old—who played in the All Star game, presented by Chime, alongside Matt Freese, Max Arfsten and more—is among the most famous faces in the league, he maintained, “I have a very quiet life, which is good.”

And it helps that Son lives in a city of stars, too. As he put it, “In Hollywood, I think there are so many pop stars and Hollywood stars, they don’t really care about me.”

Nevertheless, the forward has no trouble embracing his fame from time to time, specifically with his style. Although he listed former Tottenham Spurs teammate Brennan Johnson as a contender for best-dressed player, he jokingly maintained, “Obviously, I would be up there.”

Meanwhile, the athlete also already has someone in his web in mind to portray him in a future biopic.

“Tom Holland,” Son noted. “So smart. He’s my friend, too.”

For now, though, Son is embracing his subtle anonymity—especially in the years since his 2023 Calvin Klein campaign all but broke the internet. As for whether he’d take that particular leap again, the soccer player waffled, “I think I need some time.”

He quipped, “I might need to go to the gym and do some more sit ups.”

Of course, while South Korea did not perform as well as expected in the World Cup 2026—the team was knocked out in the group stage—Son experienced plenty of excitement while representing his country last month.

“It’s hard to describe in one word,” Son mused. “The World Cup is a dream for everyone as a soccer player.”

He emphasized, “You’re representing the country—it’s huge.”
