The trendiest ways we've seen people style their silk scarves are for their hair. If your hair is too soft and your silk scarf keeps falling off, we recommend tying it around your head. If you want to add a different texture or a pop of color to your outfit, style the silk scarf around the neck or on your waist.  

“My favorite way to see a silk scarf is on the head. It gives an old-school Hollywood glamour feel, but paired with an oversized blazer, vintage denim, or a leather jacket, it feels very now," Wang told E!. "I especially love scarves styled in the fall because one scarf can completely change the mood of heavier and neutral layers. It’s a small styling choice, but it makes the whole look.” 

Another way to style silk scarves is to tie them around the neck. This is perfect for a preppy look when the weather is only slightly chilly, but not cold enough for a knitted scarf. The way you tie it will depend on the size of the accessory—whether on your neck to the side or over your shoulders. 

Lastly, if you don't want the silk scarf to be anywhere near your head. We'd recommend tying it around your waist and hips. Whether on one side or through your belt loops, this is a perfect pop of texture and color. 

When in doubt, treat silk scarves and bandanas the same as your cotton ones.
