Niall Horan has returned to the summit of the Official U.K. Albums Chart, as Dinner Party debuts at No. 1 on June 12 and completes a hat trick of chart-topping records for the Irish singer-songwriter.

The 32-year-old, who rose to fame in the 2010s as a member of boy band One Direction, has previously scored No. 1s with 2020 sophomore LP Heartbreak Weather and 2023 follow-up The Show. The folk pop-inspired Dinner Party will be supported by a run of sold-out U.K. and Ireland arena dates this fall, including two nights at The O2 in London (Oct. 2-3). Dinner Party is Horan’s biggest opening week sales to date.

With the new album, Horan becomes the latest One Direction alum to land multiple solo No. 1 albums in the U.K. In January, former bandmate Louis Tomlinson scored his second chart-topper with How Did I Get Here?, while Harry Styles notched a third No. 1 placement on the chart with March’s Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.

Elsewhere in the chart’s top tier, Michael Jackson’s The Essential compilation continues to hold strong at No. 2 following the continued success of the Michael biopic. Drake’s Iceman follows at No. 3, down one place on the past week.

Olivia Dean’s The Art of Loving finishes at No. 4, while Birmingham indie band Overpass scores a stunning top five finish with debut album Elsewhere Always closing the week at No. 5.

Evanescence scores a fifth top 10 album with Sanctuary, and Dua Lipa’s Live From Mexico rises seven spots to No. 14.

Leeds dance duo Prospa hits the top 40 with Free Your Mind (No. 24), and Maryland-born, Liverpool-based soul star Jalen Ngonda earns a first top 40 hit with Doctrine of Love (No. 29)
