Hayden Panettiere‘s estranged mother, Lesley Vogel, is making more claims about her on-and-off-again boyfriend, Brian Hickerson.
The late actress’s mom has been speaking out in several interviews since her tragic death last weekend, and in one of those interviews, she spoke out more about Brian.
In an interview published on Sunday (August 23) by The New York Times, Lesley claimed that Brian had pawned off several of her daughter’s belongings, including a vintage guitar.
Lesley stated that Hayden was shocked when she learned some of her possessions were in Brian‘s storage unit. An anonymous person confirmed to the NYT that Brian did sell off some of Hayden‘s things.
The mom says she and her daughter eventually had another falling out, which was partly due to Lesley attempting to keep Brian out of Hayden‘s life and finances.
The New York Times piece also revealed that two sources with knowledge of the tour say a venue hosting a stop on Hayden‘s “This Is Me: A Reckoning” memoir book tour was given strict instructions not to let Brian into the venue.
The late actress was reportedly flanked by private security in an attempt to keep Brian away.
During an appearance on Jay Shetty‘s On Purpose podcast prior to the book tour, Hayden recalled her relationship with Brian.
“I really thought I had done it and I was capable of doing it by myself,” she shared. “I needed an incredible amount of support and backup in order to make sure that there was no way for him to find his way back in.”
While she said there were attempts to keep him out of her life, they were seen together arriving in Los Angeles in March 2026.
The day before her death, Hayden and Brian had flown to South Carolina, where he’s from. He was also in the apartment with her when she was pronounced dead by emergency medical personnel.
In another interview released this weekend, Lesley called Brian a “loser” and shared a theory of why her daughter was with him.
Previously, Lesley seemingly blamed Brian for Hayden‘s death.
