Motherhood has flipped Millie Bobby Brown’s world upside down.

Since her life went “from black and white to color” after adopting her baby girl in 2025, the 22-year-old is thinking about how she wants to expand her family in the future.

While she always hoped to adopt kids, the Stranger Things alum—who shares her daughter with husband Jake Bongiovi—noted her outlook on a potential pregnancy down the line.

“Hopefully one day that's in my future,” Brown told Kylie Kelce on the June 11 episode of Not Gonna Lie. “But for me, adoption was always a part of my future. Adoption is love. Adoption is forever.”

In addition to having a “childhood dream” to adopt, the Enola Holmes star learned a lot about the process when she went to school to become a social worker.

“The aspect of adoption in my social work courses was everything and so so meaningful and important,” she shared. “Then I also learned speaking to and reading a lot about being a birth mother and what that journey is. So for me, my husband and I took a lot of time to focus on what that story and what that journey looks like and then we embarked it."

As for her advice for those also looking to adopt, Brown shared that “waiting for the call” is the hardest part of the journey because there’s not a lot of preparation.

She also offered, “I just would always just encourage you to understand every journey is different. Don't compare yourself to statistics and don't compare yourself to other families. And your baby's out there and you'll find each other.”

As for what parenthood is like with Bongiovi, the Damsel actress expressed frustration with public speculation that he doesn’t help with their baby.

“We’re all about empowering girls and, ‘You got it’ and ‘You don’t need a man,’” Brown posited. “But then when I’m like, ‘Ok, I can carry my own things,’ people are like, ‘Where’s your husband?’”

Brown shut down any rumors that the 24-year-old is a bad partner to her, saying, “Nobody knows my husband. My husband is the most polite, sweet, will-do-anything-for-me. But he also knows I’m capable.”

Now that she has set the record straight, read on to see the sweetest moments between the couple over the years…
