Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are enjoying a summer out of the spotlight.
After the releases of Hugh‘s movies The Sheep Detectives and The Death of Robin Hood earlier this year, the Broadway couple is vacationing together in North Carolina to “get away” from their home in New York City.
Hugh and Sutton met while starring in the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man, though they didn’t start dating until years later.

A source told People, “Hugh and Sutton wanted to get away from the city.”
“Hugh has told friends he believes Sutton is the one and he admires her spirit and talent,” the source added, saying that Hugh “has been writing, reading scripts and spending time with Sutton outside.”
The source said that Sutton “has a group of friends” in North Carolina and that they “have a fun social life” there. Sutton‘s nine-year-old daughter Emily has been spending time with them on the getaway. She shares her daughter with estranged husband Ted Griffin.
Hugh and Sutton‘s relationship became public in late 2024 after the pair starred together in Broadway’s The Music Man. The couple later made their red carpet debut in October 2025.
Back in May, Hugh and Sutton stepped out for another major milestone, making their Met Gala debut together at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The event marked Sutton‘s first appearance at the fashion’s biggest night, while Hugh is a longtime Met Gala attendee, having attended multiple times over the past two decades.
