Jenelle Evans is sharing an update on her kids’ education.

The Teen Mom alum revealed she’s decided to homeschool her two younger kids Kaiser Griffith, 12, and Ensley Eason, 9—whom she shares with exes Nathan Griffith and David Eason, respectively—and detailed the reasons why she’s chosen to opt out of traditional education.

“There might be mixed opinions about this, I’m not sure,” Evans began in an Aug. 26 Instagram video, “but I decided to homeschool my kids.”

“Now I know some of you are thinking like, ‘She's too dumb to homeschool her kids. She doesn't know what she's doing,’” she continued. “Listen, I'm not the teacher in this. I just put them on the computer.”

Evans—also mom to her and ex Andrew Lewis' son Jace Evans, 17, who lives with his grandma Barbara Evans—shared that she enrolled her younger kids in Acellus Academy, a Missouri-based accredited online school, whose “mission is to become the nation’s premier institution for accelerated learning,” per its website.

As for why the 34-year-old—who recently relocated her family to Florida from Las Vegas—made the decision to homeschool Kaiser and Ensley?

“There are many different reasons why the kids are being homeschooled,” Evans explained. “One of the reasons why is because Kaiser was having a really hard time being bullied in school.”

“He dealt with this in Vegas, dealt with this in North Carolina, and I was sick of it,” she continued. “So as soon as he got into this school, it was bullying once again, mainly having to do with his weight.”

Evans shared that “another reason” behind her choice was due to her recent diagnosis with complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS). The condition—usually impacting an injured limb, such as an arm or a leg—results in pain that is often much greater than that of the initial injury, according to the National Institute of Health.

“I literally cannot drive them to and from school because I am in too much pain,” Evans explained. “Their school was 40 minutes there and back in the morning and the afternoon. So, I literally was taking like two hours, three hours out of my day in the morning and afternoon just to do drop-offs and pickups.”

According to the former reality star, another benefit of homeschooling her kids is her being aware of “what they're being taught as a parent, and I don't have to worry about any craziness being instilled inside their head.”

Additionally, Evans noted that if she has to travel, her kids can accompany her on the trip.

As for how Kaiser and Ensley are faring with online school? Evans shared, “So far, no complaints.”

“The first week of homeschooling has been going great,” she explained, “and they have been getting their schoolwork done literally in two hours, done. I'm always right here if they need my help.”

The entire family—including Jenelle's mom Barbara and stepdaughter Maryssa—had a blast vacationing in Puerto Rico.

Jenelle rang in Christmas with Kaiser and Ensley in December 2022.

David and Jenelle celebrated Ensley's 6th birthday in January 2023,.

Jenelle and David had some fun in the sun with the kids at the beach in August 2022.

In 2022, the family spent Fourth of July hiking North Carolina's Beacon Heights Trail, where David proposed to Jenelle back in 2016. The former MTV star wrote on Instagram, "So happy to share this view/experience with our kids!"

"Wonder where she gets all her sass from," Jenelle joked of her look-alike daughter Ensley. "#Twinning."

"#HappyBirthday to Jace!" Jenelle wrote on Instagram in August 2023. "You're growing into a such polite young man. I'm happy as long as you're happy!"

Jenelle sent her kids back to school in August 2023.
