After Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen announced the arrival of their baby girl in April, the Sinners star is detailing how their bundle of joy has already taught her valuable lessons.

“Where to start,” Steinfeld responded to a fan’s question about what she’s learned in her Beau Society newsletter. “One of the most unexpected things I’ve learned from my daughter is the importance of modeling unconditional self-love.”

And while the initial post-partum period comes with many challenges, both physical and mental, the 29-year-old is ready to take on the challenges as they come. 

“I’m obviously still learning what that looks like in practice,” Steinfeld continued in the June 12 update, “but during these early stages of motherhood, specifically with raising a daughter, I’ve realized that how I see myself is how she’ll see herself. It’s that simple.”

Otherwise, the Marvel star is keeping her loved ones close—literally. She also revealed that her current phone wallpaper rotates between a photo of Allen placing a kiss on her cheek as she wraps her arm around him, a snap from their wedding and a photo of their new family of three.

This is not the first time Steinfeld has shared insight into her postpartum journey. Previously, the Pitch Perfect alum detailed how she’s keeping her recovery on track.

"Knowing this, my mom made me this amazing albondigas soup the other day," she added alongside a photo of the dish. "It's one of those rare soups that looks as good as it tastes."

And she’s keeping her mental health on track by relaxing with a good, and educational, book in between diaper changes and naps. Specifically, Steinfeld had been enjoying Heng Ou's postpartum cookbook The First 40 Days.

"Every word has resonated," she wrote. "There's a paragraph early on that talks about how even forty days after giving birth, you're still in such a vulnerable state. People understand that about your new baby, but they don’t understand that about you, the mom."

As she noted, "I'm still in this early period and need to remember to be super gentle with myself in every way — physically, mentally, nutritionally, spiritually, all of it."

Nearly a year after the duo first sparked romance rumors, the athlete and the actress made a rare social media appearance while helping his sister, Nicala Madden, reveal the sex of her baby in an adorable Tiktok video. 

The Edge of Seventeen star and the NFL player went on a romantic outing in matching khaki outfits during Paris Fashion Week. 

The NFL star made the couple's romance Instagram official, including their glimpse of the Eiffel Tower in his July 23 photo dump.

Included in that same post, the "Starving" singer squeezed in for a photo with Josh's family. 

"Mr. Hard Launch," as reporter Kay Adams called him on her Up & Adams show, bashfully admitted "we love love" when asked about his and Hailee's relationship. 

Hailee and Josh confirmed they were engaged in a November 29, 2024 Instagram post showing the athlete getting down on one knee as the Oscar nominee leaned in to give him a kiss. They captioned the post with the date of their major milestone: 11-22-24. 

Just a few months after their engagement, Josh and Hailee officially made their red carpet debut at the NFL Honors, where he was named MVP. And during his acccepance speech, he gave her a heartfelt shoutout.

"You’ve been my rock and my best friend," he told her. "I would not be standing on this stage if it weren’t for you.”

They said "I do" in a stunning California wedding ceremony, where she donned a strapless bridal gown with elbow-length gloves.

The couple announced they're expecting their first child with a snowy maternity shoot in her Beau Society Substack.

The pair announced the birth of their first baby together on April 2. 

“Our baby girl has arrived!!” the couple wrote on Hailee's Beau Society Substack. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
