Instagram for TV is now available on Samsung Smart TVs. Meta, owner of the Instagram social platform, announced today that Instagram for TV will now join Amazon Fire and Google TVs on Samsung TVs nationwide.
With the expansion, Instagram Stories and channels, tailored to creators and topics that match viewersâ interests, are now available on Samsung big screens. Additionally, the app is testing ways that users can transfer cast reels from their phone onto their TV. Also in a test phase is horizontal video, a way to watch reels with horizontal landscape content made for the big screen. Â
Meta also is exploring longer-form video formats, such as episodic series that unfold across multiple episodes and Live on TV, which the company says it intends to roll out soon.
The Samsung expansion covers smart TVs from the 2020 model year and newer. Instagram for TV launched on Amazon Fire TV devices in December 2025, then expanded to Google TV in February 2026.Â
