Connor Storrie‘s buzz cut has been a major topic among Heated Rivalry fans, and now author Rachel Reid is weighing in on his new look.
The 26-year-old actor shocked fans when he cut off his signature curls just as production was getting underway on Season 2 of the hit series.
Why Did Connor Storrie Shave His Head?
Connor has since been spotted on the set of Season 2 with his new hairstyle, leading fans to wonder if the buzz cut will somehow factor into his character Ilya Rozanov’s storyline.
During a new appearance on SiriusXM’s Vibe Check, Rachel, who wrote the Game Changers book series that inspired the show, was asked whether she or production knew that Connor was going to shave his head.
“I can’t say a lot about it. But yeah, people knew,” Rachel responded.
While she didn’t elaborate on why she couldn’t say more, she did reveal how she feels about the new look.
“What I will say about it is, he looks great,” she said, later adding, “I’m on board with it.”
Rachel did not reveal why Connor shaved his head or confirm whether the haircut is connected to Ilya’s storyline in Season 2.
Rachel Reid Shares an Update From the Heated Rivalry Season 2 Set
The author also shared a new update from the set after spending the first three days of this week with the cast and crew.
“I love being there because it’s really grounding. I think just being online, it really makes it seem mythical. The guys are like mythical creatures, basically. And when you get there, it’s just everybody’s at work, you know? Everyone’s just doing their jobs and making a good show,” she said.
“It felt really good to be around them again, just in a very normal way. And the vibes felt a lot like season one, which I was really happy to see. It didn’t feel different.”
Season 2 is currently filming in Canada, with Connor returning as Ilya opposite Hudson Williams as Shane Hollander.
The new season will primarily adapt Rachel‘s novel The Long Game, continuing Shane and Ilya’s story after the events of the first season.
