TelevisaUnivision has announced the nominees for the 23rd edition of Premios Juventud, airing live on September 3 from the Starlite Amphitheater in Marbella, Spain.
Carín León leads with nine nominations, followed by Beéle, Kany García and Rauw Alejandro with seven nods apiece. Artists with six nominations include Eladio Carrión, Farruko, Karol G, Manuel Turizo, Ovy On The Drums, Quevedo, Romeo Santos, Shakira and Xavi.
Premios Juventud will take place in Europe for the first time and serve as the marquee event of PJ Fest, a weeklong celebration of Latin culture kicking off on August 29 and taking place in cities including Miami, Houston and Los Angeles. Artists set to perform at the events include Jay Wheeler, Piso 21 and Morat alongside Calle y Poché. Fans will be able to watch the performances via livestreams on ViX, YouTube and Facebook.
Winners for Premios Juventud will be determined by voting. Fans can begin casting their ballots on August 10 via the event’s website. Hosts, performers and special honors will be announced in the coming weeks, and the show will air live on Univision, UNIMÁS, Galavisión, YouTube, and ViX at 7 p.m. ET in the United States, as well as on Canal 5 in Mexico at 5 p.m.
