EXCLUSIVE: Lewis Pullman (Remarkably Bright Creatures, Lessons in Chemistry) is returning to television — and to Apple TV — with a starring role opposite Julia Garner in Guilty Creatures, a thriller drama from director Craig Gillespie, showrunner Stuart Zicherman and Tomorrow Studios.
Adapted for the screen by Sarah DeLappe from Mikita Brottman‘s true-crime book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida, the series is set against a backdrop of sex and and murder in the Florida panhandle. It delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers — believed to be played by Garner and Pullman — unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years.
Guilty Creatures is produced by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partner, and developed through the studio’s first-look deals with Garner’s Alma Margo and Gillespie’s Fortunate Jack Productions.
Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner executive produce through Tomorrow Studios, along with Garner through Alma Margo, Zicherman, DeLappe and Brottman. Gillespie and Annie Marter executive produce through Fortunate Jack Productions.
This is Pullman’s first TV role since his Emmy-nominated turn in Apple TV’s 2023 limited series Lessons In Chemistry. Since then, he has become an in-demand film actor.
Pullman most recently starred opposite Sally Field in the Netflix movie Remarkably Bright Creatures, which was recently nominated for three Emmy Awards, and in The Testament Of Ann Lee alongside Amanda Seyfried.
In December, Pullman will be seen reprising his Thunderbolts* role as Robert Reynolds/Sentry in the Russo Brothers’ Avengers: Doomsday. He also will soon be seen in Graham Parkes’ Wishful Thinking alongside Maya Hawke, which world premiered at SXSW where it won the Narrative Feature Prize and was acquired by Sony Pictures Classics.
Coming up, Pullman also stars alongside his father, Bill Pullman, in Amazon/MGM Studios’ Spaceballs: The New One. He is repped by Anonymous Content and CAA.
