The Voice is getting some streaming help for Season 30.
The long-running music competition series will be simulcast on Peacock for the first time and marks one of a number of changes to the show.
The show will return to NBC on September 21 and it will have a three-night premiere with episodes on September 22 and 23 as well.
Queen Latifah and Riley Green are joining as coaches alongside Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine.
There will be a new ‘first in button’ for blind auditions, giving the the coach who turns first on a multi-chair turn the opportunity to claim an artist before the artist’s final decision; this season will feature the biggest elimination in the show’s history with coaches sending two artists straight through to the live shows as five more battle for one remaining spot on their team and the live shows return with six weeks of performances and guest appearances with themes including a Dolly Parton tribute week.
There will also be brand new voting methods with fans able to vote on TikTok as well as text.
All of this comes as Season 31 of The Voice is already being prepped and will feature celebrities for the first time. The show will see actors, musicians, influencers, athletes, comedians, and reality television stars competing instead of undiscovered talent and Joe Jonas has been tapped as a coach.
The Voice is produced by MGM Alternative, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television, and ITV Studios. The series was created by John de Mol, who serves as an executive producer along with Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher and Barry Poznick.
