K-pop idol and global icon JENNIE has joined the rest of BLACKPINK's Lisa and Rosé in releasing a ballet sneaker of her own. In collaboration with Adidas, the Less Than a Lover singer is the co-designer of the new adidas Originals by JENNIE collection.
The star of the collection is the Superstar SQ Ballet Shoes, which reimagines the brand's signature sneakers into a classic ballet pointe shoe. Made with a leather upper and lambskin lining, it also features a squared toe, ribbon detailing, and removable laces. Under the theme of "Functional Grace," the collection also includes apparel, like knit pants, wrap-around cardigans, skirts, pants, hoodies, and more.
“With this collaboration, I wanted to reinterpret the classic identity of adidasOriginals through my own perspective and energy. My goal was to bring together the softness and restraint found in ballet, as well as the strength behind it, with the feeling of an endless and unknown space,” JENNIE said in a statement.
“I focused on creating an overall mood that feels timeless yet forward-facing—cinematic and surreal, with a quiet but powerful presence.”
