A brand new Hellraiser video game is set to launch this October featuring an original story crafted alongside Pinhead creator Clive Barker.

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is a survival horror action game created by Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games.

“Embark on a battle for survival against Hell’s armies with a terrifying new story in the Hellraiser universe in Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival,” reads a press release. “Descend into the darkest depths of the underworld  to rescue your love from the depraved clutches of the Cenobites. Face your deepest fears against deviant wretches, cultists and creatures with the infernal powers of the Genesis Configuration puzzle box and an arsenal of earthly weapons.” Check out the full reveal trailer below:

Hellraiser: Revival was created in close collaboration with Clive Barker who wrote and directed the original 1987 movie. “His guidance and intimate understanding of the Hellraiser universe have been instrumental in shaping every aspect of the experience,” said executive producer Nenad Tomic when the project was first announced in 2025.

“From the visual style and story motifs to the lore and character personalities, his creative input has ensured that the game remains authentic to the spirit of Hellraiser. He has worked closely with us, helping to refine our ideas so that they align seamlessly with his original vision, making this game a true extension of his dark and imaginative world.”

Doug Bradley, who played iconic villain Pinhead in the first nine Hellraiser movies, will also be reprising his role for Revival. “Pinhead’s cold, commanding presence [in the movies] was unforgettable,” said Tomic. “But what really stuck with me were the chains, appearing out of nowhere, dragging victims to their fate, tearing them apart in a way that was both brutal and mesmerizing. Now, to be able to recreate the same twisted world, and to hear Doug Bradley reprise his role as Pinhead in a brand new Hellraiser story – it is utterly surreal.”

Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival will launch October 8 for PC, Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 and is available to pre-order now.
