EXCLUSIVE: A trio of producers are teaming up on a slate of Colombian co-productions aimed at the U.S. and international market.

Producers Alvaro Gutierrez (Agora Films), Jason Gurvitz (Green Dog Films), and Nicolas Troya (Troya Films) are launching WildHouse, a new label to house the film slate, which will focus on genre projects in the $3-5M range.

The partnership aims to build on the founders’ prior collaborations on the Lionsgate-distributed features Dominique, an action-thriller from 2024, and last year’s action-thriller Diablo, starring Scott Adkins.

·       Sanctuary, written by Ryan Self, directed by Jason Gurvitz

·       State of Nature, written by Aaron Greyson, directed by Geoff Browne, produced by Paul Tamasy  (The Fighter) and Stuart Pollok (Into the Grizzly Maze)

·   Lorenzo, written by Lucca De Francisco, a Colombia/Mexico/US Co-production.

·   SevenBells, based on the historical Colombian urban legend – written by Justin Calen-Chenn (Bel Air) and Jason Gurvitz

The WildHouse partners say they have secured financial backing for the venture from Colombia-based Liontrust Investment Group.

“Colombia’s film industry is incredibly dynamic right now, and we’ve already demonstrated the power of these cross-border collaborations,” said Colombian producer Alvaro Gutierrez. “WildHouse gives us a dedicated vehicle to develop and finance stories in the $3–5M budget range that can compete on the global stage.”

“WildHouse is exactly the kind of smart, commercially focused initiative that raises Colombia’s profile on the world stage,” he added. “We’re proud to partner with such an experienced team on this exciting new venture.”

LA-based producer Jason Gurvitz added: “Our work together on Dominique and Diablo showed us what’s possible. WildHouse allows us to scale that model with a focused slate of commercial projects with global reach.”

Colombian-based Troya has experience in executive producing, line production, and production services for international projects filming in Colombia. His credits include the action films Diablo and Dominique.

Liontrust Investment Group is a Colombian-based investment company founded in  2024, with a mission to strengthen film and entertainment projects in Colombia, based on tax benefit structure regulated through the Ministry of Culture. Past projects include Diablo, Mentirosos, and Entre Dos Aguas.
