The Circle is making a big move!

The popular Netflix competition series ran for seven seasons on the streamer, but after not being renewed, it has now found a new home.

Deadline reveals that The Circle is moving to Hulu with a new version of the series!

According to Deadline, the move comes after Netflix didn’t renew since season seven ended in late 2024.

There will also be changes to the competition series

Hulu’s version of The Circle will not feature only civilian competitors like the show originally had, but instead, will have celebrity contestants as well.

There will also be a new audience voting aspect, for the first time in the US version, and will be “reimagined” as a “fast-turnaround” social experiment.

That’s not all, it’s set to be set in real time!

The new version of The Circle will “bring everyday players and celebrities to compete side by side in a game of popularity where identity is ever-changing, and anyone can be anyone. Essentially, contestants move into separate apartments in the same building but are kept isolated from each other. They are only allowed to communicate via a specific app using text and photos but they can decide to play the game as themselves or anyone else they like.”

This new format takes the show back to it’s original British format, which launched in the UK and ran for three seasons from 2018 to 2021.
