Clay Matthews is not the only member of his family to find success on the football field.
The 40-year-old former Green Bay Packers linebacker recently found himself back in the headlines after seemingly fake photos of him were used in an online advertisement.
Clay has become one of the most recognizable defensive players of his generation, but football has been part of his family for decades. The Matthews family produced three consecutive generations of NFL players, beginning with Clay‘s grandfather in 1950.
His father and uncle each spent 19 seasons in the league, his younger brother played for the Philadelphia Eagles and several of his cousins pursued careers in professional football. One member of the family was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame, while Clay earned a place in the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 2024.
