The 2026 Black Reel TV Awards aka Bolts — celebrating excellence in television across comedy, drama, limited series, TV movies, documentaries, variety programming, acting, directing, writing, music and technical achievement — will be handed out August 17.
With today’s noms, Abbott Elementary now is the most-nominated series in Bolts history with 54, while Yahya Abdul-Mateen II becomes the first performer ever nominated for both Lead Performance in a Comedy Series and Lead Performance in a Drama Series in the same year, for Disney+’s Wonder Man and Netflix’s Man on Fire, respectively.
“As we celebrate our 10th year recognizing excellence in television, this year’s nominees reflect the extraordinary depth, range, and cultural impact of Black creativity across every corner of the industry,” said Tim Gordon, founder of the Black Reel Awards. “From breakout performances to landmark achievements behind the camera, these nominations honor artists and storytellers who continue to expand what television can be.”
