Richard Madden is celebrating his milestone birthday!
On Saturday (June 20), the Golden Globe-winning actor made a rare return to Instagram to share a few photos from his his birthday celebrations as he turned 40-years-old.
“Just gettin started,” Richard wrote as he shared a black and white photo of himself with a big smile on his face and wearing a “40” badge as a friend presented him with a cake. In the second photo, the Eternals actor is holding two giant “4” and “0” balloons.

Richard officially turned 40 earlier this week on Thursday, June 18.
The Game of Thrones alum usually refrains from posting photos from his personal life on social media as the majority of his posts are work-related.
Last month, he re-shared a selfie with his manager Duncan Millership while watching an outdoor screening of the classic movie E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial hosted by Cinespia at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
