Dr. Phil already has a podcast. But it’s probably not as interesting as Adam Ray hosting a podcast as Dr. Phil.

The comedian will tap into his roster of characters to interview famous guests on his new Netflix video podcast, “The Adam Ray Show.”

The podcast will debut on the streamer on June 19 with the first four episodes. Michael Bublé is the first guest, followed by Dave Matthews, Nikki Glaser and Andrew Santino. Future guests include Hasan Minhaj, Jelly Roll, Marshawn Lynch, John Schneider and Mike MacDonald (the general manager and head coach of the Seattle Seahawks), Joel McHale, Mark Normand, Ray’s mother, Goo Goo Dolls, John Summit, Impractical Jokers, Rick Glassman, Brent Morin and more.

Ray will engage in “deep-dive” conversations with the guests, but not always as himself. He’ll drift into improvised characters including Dr. Phil, his “Hollywood mentalist” Bruce Robbins, the recurring “Kill Tony” character Jeremy and more.

Ray previously flexed his character muscles on Netflix with his 2024 special “Adam Ray Is Dr. Phil Unleashed.” In the experimental comedy hour, the comedian dressed as Dr. Phil and interviewed the mustachioed talk show host himself. He also sat down with Patton Oswalt, Jay Pharoah and “Gollum.”

Ray has taken his Dr. Phil show across the comedy circuit, interviewing comedians such as Bill Burr, Whitney Cummings, Kumail Nanjiani and Bert Kreischer while in character as the former talk show host. He’s also taken the format to Netflix Is a Joke Festival and “Kill Tony.” His character work can also be seen in “Pam & Tommy,” in which he played Jay Leno, and in “Young Rock,” in which he is Vince McMahon. His credits also include “Jackass,” “Hacks,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and “Barbie.”

“The Adam Ray Show” marks another original podcast from Netflix, which has licensed a slate of popular titles in addition to launching new ones, such as “The Pete Davidson Show.”

Ray executive produces “The Adam Ray Show” alongside Jack Fink, Norman Parker, Dan Powell and Alex Bach.
