Leo33 has named respected industry executive Shane Tarleton as co-head of the Nashville-based label that is home to rising country star Zach Top, among other artists. He will lead with fellow co-head Katie Dean, who helped start the label in 2023.

“I’ve spent my career focused on artist development and building teams that help great music break through,” Tarleton said in a statement. “Leo33 represents a forward-thinking approach to the business — one that values creativity, culture, and deep partnerships with artists and managers. I’m thrilled to join the team and help shape the next chapter of growth for both the company and the incredible roster we have the privilege to serve.”

Tarleton is best known for his stint at Warner Music Nashville (WMN), where he served as executive vp of artist development, overseeing marketing, creative services, touring, brand partnerships, digital strategy, analytics and video initiatives. After more than a decade at WMN, he moved to Morris Highman Management in 2024, where he served as head of marketing, leading marketing efforts for Kenny Chesney and Old Dominion, among others.

“Shane brings an exceptional combination of artist development expertise, marketing leadership, and industry experience to Leo33,” Dean added. “As we continue building our roster and expanding the company’s reach, his strategic perspective and proven track record make him the ideal partner to help lead our next phase of growth. We are thrilled to welcome him to the team.”

Dean came to Leo33, which is backed by Firebird Music and Red Light Ventures, after 18 years at UMG Nashville (now MCA), most recently as senior vp of promotion.

In addition to Top, who was named new artist of the year at the 2025 CMA Awards, the label roster also includes Trey Pendley, Ashland Craft, Jason Scott & The High Heat, Clay Street Unit, Jenna Paulette and Sela Campbell.
