Connor Wood may have purse, but he missed Bruno Tonioli’s golden advice.

After the Dancing With the Stars judge pulled the podcaster over after his and Rylee Arnold’s tango, Connor revealed what it was Bruno whispered into his ear.

“Bruno was sharing with me that basically, ‘I believe in you. And you have this, and this,’” the 31-year-old revealed to E! News after the Sept. 22 episode. “And then he said, ‘Make sure—’ and they took me away.”

“So, what is it?” he lamented. “I gotta find Bruno, basically. I got cut off before the big nugget of wisdom.”

But in the meantime, the basic fact that Bruno wanted to pass along more advice that didn’t make it into his feedback means the world.

“Bruno, bless his heart,” Connor added. “I’m just so lucky that these people so clearly care about me, and they see something in me which I’m so—that gives me chills, when I think about it."

While Connor and Rylee’s week one cha-cha earned them 16 points, their week two tango to Sombr's “12 to 12” fell just short with a combined score of 15.

And after one wrong move made by Connor within the routine was called out by the judges, the TikToker is grappling with moving on. (Giada De Laurentiis and Alan Bersten became the third pair eliminated on Sept. 22.)

“I’m frustrated,” he admitted to E! of his performance, though of his partnership with Rylee, he emphasized, “I feel good about where we’re at. We set the bar really high for ourselves, we worked really hard on the dance.”

Nevertheless, “I had a very obvious misstep—I can pinpoint it,” he added. “So, it’s hard to feel that frustrated to know exactly what I did, and it wasn’t based on lack of practice, or skill or anything, it was just a fluke. And I was in my head.”

His partner, however, isn’t worried about their future.

After all, “it happens all the time,” Rylee said of such a mistake. “I know what he can do, and I know that we can build on this and have that comeback story. So, I’m excited.”

And so far, the pair’s performances have been enough to get them through to week three, when the celebrity-pro pairings will dance to yacht rock classics. Until then, read on for a closer look at this season’s cast.
