Jonathan Bennett has some sad news for Hallmark Channel fans.
The fan-favorite series Finding Mr. Christmas, a reality competition show searching for Hallmark’s next leading man, has been canceled after just two seasons.
Jonathan hosted the show with Melissa Peterman as the lead judge. Hallmark actors appeared as guest judges and scene partners for the contestants in each episode.
“This is the hard thing about show business. Sometimes, randomly for no reason, your show gets canceled,” Jonathan told Entertainment Now. “I’m hoping that in a year or two, there might be a space to bring it back because it had such traction and was growing so much. People were having parties around the country to watch the episodes.”
Jonathan also opened up about the community that was built among the contestants.
“It’s just so fun because they all still talk, they’re all friends,” he said. “They created community, and I think that’s what Hallmark Channel is all about. And I think these guys are such great ambassadors to what the network is because of who they are as people. They are Hallmark Hunks — they may not all have landed a movie, but they embody what it is to be a Hallmark Hunk, and I think that’s really special.”
Season one’s winner Ezra Moreland starred in the 2024 Christmas movie Happy Howlidays opposite Jessica Lowndes.
Season two’s winner Craig Geoghan received a supporting role in the 2025 Christmas movie A Make or Break Holiday opposite Hunter King.
Hallmark has revealed the full lineup of 34 new movies airing during the 2026 Countdown to Christmas.
