Josey Dorsey is continuing to follow in his parents’ footsteps.
The almost 11-year-old son of the late Naya Rivera and Ryan Dorsey has reportedly been cast in his first movie, where he’ll be acting alongside his dad.
Josey now has an IMDb page with one upcoming project listed, the movie The Burning Valley. His character is listed as “Boy,” while Ryan is also on the cast list as “Father.”
The Burning Valley is written and being directed by Evan Coury for his feature film debut.

What is The Burning Valley about?
Filming started this week in Pennsylvania, and Evan opened up about the project with a local outlet.
“The movie is about a steelworker who loses his job when the mill announces a shutdown,” he told TribLive. “It sets him on a journey as he wanders through his Rust Belt town.”
The director describes his first film as a “small, poetic film about deindustrialization with an emotional truth,” the outlet says.
“My hope is to encapsulate the history of our region through one guy’s personal experience,” Evan added.
This isn’t Josey’s first foray into acting.
Back in 2024, Josey made his acting debut in a local theater production of Seussical Jr in West Virginia, where he lives with his father, Ryan.
Per Entertainment Tonight, Josey played one of the Wickersham Brothers in the musical.
Last year, Ryan revealed what Josey remembered from the tragic day Naya passed away by drowning while they were out on a lake in July 2020.
