The Young and the Restless actress Brenda Dickson has been arrested.
The 77-year-old actress was taken in on a misdemeanor battery on a person charge on July 9, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office.
Apparently, on July 8, a call was made that Brenda allegedly assaulted someone, but it’s unclear who. She was released from police custody on July 9, TMZ reports.
No further information has been made available at this time.
If you are not aware, Brenda originated the role of Jill Foster Abbott on the fan favorite soap, The Young and the Restless. She played the role from 1973 until 1987, and appeared across 226 episodes of the soap opera.
She has not done much other acting work since, according to her IMDb. She did publish a book in 2013 titled, “‘My True Hidden Hollywood Story,’ My Memoir of Sexual Harassment, Blacklisting, and Love Affairs with some of the most Powerful Men in Hollywood”
