Just months after dropping a trifecta of albums, could Drake be hinting at more new music in 2026? The 6 God posted a “FEAR OF MISSING OUT” CD case to Instagram on Friday (Aug. 21), and OVO fans are speculating that’s the title of his next project.

The CD case features a black backdrop and white lettering. Drizzy didn’t provide any context himself when posting the photo with a video camera emoji.
“FOMO is the new YOLO,” one fan commented. Another added: “Another ALBUM on the damn way!???” Drake’s “goth baddie” 20-vs-1 winner, Pinkchyu, also commented by leaving a black heart.
Billboard has reached out to Drake’s reps for comment.
The rumors of potential new music heated up after Drake posted a series of throwback photos of his parents to IG on Aug. 12, which he captioned: “FOMO 2026.” Plus, at the beginning of the month, Drizzy shared a photo of himself in front of a fireplace with recording equipment, seemingly working on new music, according to Complex and XXL.
That fear of missing out could be a real trepidation for Drake, as he’s been reluctant to spend extensive time away from music. The 6 God has left his imprint on just about ever year in hip-hop since 2009.
The OVO boss made his anticipated return in May with his ICEMAN album alongside HABIBTI and MAID OF HONOUR. Drizzy made history when he became the first artist to simultaneously hold the top three slots on the Billboard 200 when the trio debuted on the tally with ICEMAN at No. 1, HABIBTI at No. 2 and MAID claiming No. 3.
ICEMAN notched Drake his 15th chart-topping album, which broke a tie with Jay-Z to hold the most No. 1s on the Billboard 200 of any rapper. “Janice STFU” notched Drake his 14th No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 to pass Michael Jackson for the most No. 1s of any male soloist.
“Shabang” also earned Drizzy a fourth Rhythmic Airplay No. 1 from ICEMAN, following “Janice STFU,” “2 Hard 4 the Radio” and “What Did I Miss.”
Drake also popped up with an assist on The Game’s “No Brakes,” which landed on the West Coast rapper’s The Documentary III album on Friday (Aug. 21). There’s no Drizzy verse, but he helms the hook, half-whispering the bouncy track’s title.
