Following on from The Legend Of Zelda 40th anniversary showcase that premiered yesterday (September 9), Nintendo has shared even more news and reveals in its September Direct – check out all the big reveals below:

It was a disappointing Direct for Nintendo fans hoping for news on Nintendogs, Wario, Luigi’s Mansion or a new 3D Mario game. All of those franchises were missing from the 45-minute presentation. However, a new open-world 3D Kirby game was teased. Kirby And The World Beyond is out Spring 2027 and pulls heavily from recent The Legend Of Zelda games.

One of the most exciting reveals was that Ravenous, a brand new 2D Metroid game, is coming January 28, 2027 and introduces a new ability where Samus must feed on her enemies to survive. “It’s eat or be eaten,” teases the description of the creepy looking game.

The Direct confirmed a handful of massive games are finally making their way to the Nintendo Switch 2. Lego Batman: Legacy Of The Dark Knight is coming September 18, Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy is out November 5 while Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 fans will have to wait until next year to play the massive role-playing game on the Nintendo console. Far Cry 3 is also out in 2027 for the Switch 2.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Ascendance expansion, Monster Hunter Wilds and all its recent updates, will be available on December 4. Just in time for Halloween, remakes of Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4: Gold Edition are launching October 16.

Elsewhere, it was confirmed that the final chapter in the remake trilogy, Final Fantasy 7: Revelation, is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 at launch April 7 while the prequel Crisis Core: Final Fantasy 7 Reunion launches later today (September 9).

The team behind Overcooked are releasing Stage Fright, a spooky yet charming coming-of-age mystery that’s out next year for the Switch 2. Also coming in 2027 is Metal Slug: Ultimate, a ten-game collection that celebrates 30 years of the iconic run and gun series.

It’s also been announced that the second part of the paid Pokémon Pokopia expansion is out later this year and will introduce new ‘mon and accessories for your townsfolk.

A free update is coming to Starfox which introduces three new stages and 4-player local co-op to the remake. It’s out September 29 while later today, GameCube title Starfox Adventures will be available on Nintendo Classics for all Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers.

Also coming later today is a free update to Mario Kart World that will add ten classic courses to ‘Versus’ mode alongside two new Knockout courses.
