Taylor Swift is speaking out in support of Phoebe Bridgers.
The 36-year-old folklore singer-songwriter shared the 32-year-old “Scott Street” musician’s new album Lost Weekend on her Instagram Story on Monday (August 17). (Phoebe just turned 32 on the same day!)
“It’s her birthday but she gave us a gift,” Taylor began.
“Haven’t been able to stop listening. This album is an absolute triumph in every way,” she continued.
“To write about grief with such vulnerability and detail, and to trust the listener with this much honesty. Happy bday @phoebebridgers I love you!!”
If you didn’t know, Taylor previously worked with Phoebe on 2021’s “Nothing New,” a vault track included on Red (Taylor’s Version).
“I just am so excited to have people take it at face value the day that it comes out, because I got teary recording it. I just couldn’t be more excited. I think that she is an incredible businessperson and an incredible writer. What she’s been able to build just from writing adeptly from a young age is insane,” Phoebe said of Taylor at the time.
Phoebe and Taylor were also just together at the wedding of two of their music collaborators in England over the weekend.
Find out why one song in particular off of Phoebe‘s new album is gaining attention.
