As announced Wednesday (June 17), the Songbird Supreme has a guest spot on The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, the fourth and final season of which will premiere on Disney+ on July 29. Also making cameos on the next installment are Chloe Bailey, Ali Wong, Romany Malco, Lorraine Toussaint, Christopher “Mad Dog” Russo, Kym Whitley, Dee Nasty, Adele Givens, JB Smoove and Lashana Lynch, as well as recurring guests Anthony Anderson and Tiffany Haddish.

The Proud Family first aired on Disney Channel in 2001, running for four years. Carey played herself in a 2003 season two episode that involved her fictional pet monkey, Francois, getting mixed up with Oscar’s monkey, Mr. Chips, at Trudy’s veterinary office, according to IMDb.

In 2022, Disney+ rebooted the franchise with Louder and Prouder, starring Kyla Pratt as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson as Oscar, Paula Jai Parker as Trudy, JoMarie Payton as Suga Mama, Cedric The Entertainer as Uncle Bobby and more.

Along with the season four cast announcement, Disney+ revealed that — even though the reboot is ending after its fourth season — The Proud Family still has more story to tell. This holiday season, the streamer will also unveil A Proud Family Wizmas. Described in a release as a “song-filled, stop-motion holiday special,” the film will feature six new original songs by songwriter and composer Kurt Farquhar.
