Hailee Steinfeld is scoring points in the fitness department after becoming a mom.
And the Sinners star—who welcomed a baby girl with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on April 2—is doing it with the help of a very special workout instructor: her dad Peter Steinfeld.
"I am just starting to ramp up my workout routine, which I am so excited about," Hailee, 29, shared during a June 17 Substack Live for her Beau Society newsletter. "I am back with my trainer aka Dad, who really likes to give me a run for my money."
But the "Starving” singer, who considers comfort "a priority these days" following her first pregnancy, knows it's all about balance, so their workouts don't push the new mom too hard.
"It's all about a slow ramp-up right now, which I'm really appreciating," Hailee shared in the live AMA. "And as always, listening to my body and not overdoing it because I have a tendency of setting strict goals for myself [with] deadlines and timelines."
"[I'm] not letting go of that completely because I do love that sort of structure. I love a goal-oriented plan," Hailee explained. "But when it comes to this situation currently, with working out at this time, just taking it easy and listening to my body and doing what feels right."
As for what type of exercise excites the Oscar nominee in this chapter of her life?
"It's summer! Get me in the water." Hailee said. "I will swim some laps."
And her updated gym plan isn't the only lesson motherhood has taught Hailee, who tied the knot with Josh in 2025.
"One of the most unexpected things I’ve learned from my daughter is the importance of modeling unconditional self-love," Hailee emphasized in a June 12 update on Beau Society. "I’m obviously still learning what that looks like in practice. But during these early stages of motherhood, specifically with raising a daughter, I’ve realized that how I see myself is how she’ll see herself. It’s that simple."
