American Idol winner Phillip Phillips is currently traveling around the U.S. on his Let’s Go Far Tour and he had to make a difficult decision about one of the shows.
For those who don’t know, the 36-year-old singer won the 11th season of Idol back in 2012 and rose to popularity with his song “Home.” Phillip had just one Canada shows scheduled for the tour, with a stop in Vancouver set for October 5. Unfortunately, due to low ticket sales, the show has been canceled.
In a candid TikTok video, Phillip explained the decision.

What’s up, everybody? Philip here. Hope you’re doing well. Just wanna give you a tour update.
Um, got some unfortunate news. We have to cancel the Vancouver show coming up. Ticket sales just aren’t really where they needed to be for that show, and my team and I had to make a tough decision to pull that show, and it sucks.
I hate it. It’s so freaking disappointing, but it’s just the reality. Touring is hard right now for so many artists and bands. You know, it’s just, it’s just hard right now.
So, you know, I’m hoping that we don’t have to make any more changes to the tour. If you have tickets, thank you. Can’t wait to see you. If you think about getting tickets, please do. You know, for any of your favorite artists, just go support them. That means more than you realize right now for all of us.
And, yeah. I hate to make this video. So I hope to see y’all on the road soon. Still got some shows coming up, so appreciate you sticking with me.
