Selena Gomez is showing love to husband Benny Blanco on the occasion of his new book release.
The “Good For You” singer posted a series of Instagram stories Wednesday (Sept. 16) congratulating Blanco on F–k Failure, the producer’s new memoir that chronicles his start in the music industry, career highlights and how he won over Gomez.
“Proud of my hubby for releasing his new book on failing forward,” Gomez wrote, alongside a photo of herself in the backseat of a car holding the bright yellow book. Added the singer to her husband: “I love you baby.”

F–k Failure is part revealing memoir and part advice column, with Blanco writing about how “failure is freedom.”
“I fail constantly,” he writes candidly, chalking up his “small everyday failures and massive failures that last for years. I’ve learned a few tricks along the way, and all of them have to do with turning f–king up into an artform,” he says. “Every hero you’ve ever had has failed more times that you can imagine [and] nobody is keeping a scorecard on your life except you.”
The songwriter and producer also writes about how the boy born Benjamin Joseph Levin became known to fans around the world as Benny Blanco, sharing stories about his earliest exposures to music (there’s a funny Prince story in there) and the time he cold-called Jay-Z’s label president… only to get hung up on. Still, Blanco says it’s because of his setbacks that he has learned to connect with so many artists in the studio and earn their trust. “My superpower as a producer is helping people tap into the success that’s already inside of them,” he shares.
InstagramOf course, Blanco’s signature wit and sense of humor is on full display, with chapter titles like “Shut Up,” “Don’t Be a Dick” and “Relax (There’s Always Tomorrow).” And he addresses the criticisms and knocks he’s received along the way, especially when he started dating Gomez. “Look at me,” he jests, “I’m a cross between Andre the Giant and Danny DeVito. I’m five-foot-five on a good day.”
Still, Blanco says that while he can be self-deprecating, he’s never been harsh on himself. “People hear my story and want to believe that my success is a result of me trying to prove that I’m good enough,” he writes. “But here’s the thing: the voices in my head have never been negative. It has only been GO my entire life.”
F–k Failure arrives a week before Blanco and Gomez celebrate their one-year wedding anniversary. The two were married on Sept. 27, 2025 in Santa Barbara, Calif., after first announcing their engagement in December 2024.
