Brenda song is calling foul on her and Macaulay Culkin’s relationship status.
After a photographer mistakenly referred to the couple as “Mr. and Mrs. Culkin” during their Emmys weekend outing, the Running Point actress set the record straight on whether they’ve made it down the aisle.
“Not yet! Not yet!” Song clarified, per Us Weekly, as she and Culkin posed on the red carpet for Warner Bros. Television Group’s 78th Primetime Emmy Awards Nominees Celebration on Sept. 13, adding, “Soon!”
The My Girl actor echoed Song’s playful correction, chiming in, “Maybe someday—if I’m lucky!”
Although they aren’t officially Mr. and Mrs. just yet, Song, 38, and Culkin, 46, who began dating in 2017, have been living a suite life together over the last decade. After all, their sweet relationship milestones include becoming parents to son Dakota in 2021 before welcoming Carson in 2022. That January, The Home Alone star popped the question.
But recently, Song revealed how her longtime partner reproposed with help from their little ones.
“I was coming home from Running Point and my mom texts me,” the Disney Channel alum told Kylie Kelce on the April 30 episode of her Not Gonna Lie podcast. “She’s like, ‘Are you wearing makeup?’ And I was like ‘What?’ They had flowers all by the front door and my two boys.”
But what was supposed to be a perfect moment didn’t go exactly as planned.
“I walk up and I’m like, ‘Oh my God’ and he looked at my boys and he goes, ‘OK what do you say to mama?’” she recounted. “And my youngest went, ‘Ram’s House!’”
A diehard Los Angeles Rams fan, Song has clearly instilled a love for the football team in her boys, confessing that they often practice cheers in their home.
“He’s so used to me doing callbacks because I’ll go, ‘Who’s house?’” she explained. “And he’ll go, ‘Ram’s House!’ I’ve trained my kids well.”
As for Culkin, he was just as shocked as his fiancée about the slip-up, telling Song at the time, “We rehearsed and we rehearsed like, ‘Will you marry us?’”
While their kiddos may have improvised a bit, Song was just thrilled that her son “instinctively knew ‘Ram’s House.’”
