A Jumanji: Open World trailer is now available to the masses.

The threequel film will arrive in theaters Dec. 11, 2026. A clip had previously been played in April at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, though this trailer looks a bit different.

The clip features Spencer (Alex Wolff) and friends summoned to Nora’s where his grandfather (Danny DeVito) gestures over his shoulder to a familiar, glinting bald head that can only signal the return of one Dr. Blackstone (Dwayne Johnson).

With the entrance of Jack Black’s avatar Oberon and Karen Gillan’s Ruby Roundhoyse and Kevin Hart’s Franklin ‘Mouse’ Finbar, it becomes clear that Jumanji, the video game, has invated the real world with each of the core four characters stuck in “demo mode.” Thus, Bravestone speaks in a Spanish accent.

“I’m beginning to suspect,” Black’s avatar says, “that we’re not in Jumanji.”

Director Jake Kasdan also returns new shenanigans and adventures as the videogame characters navigate the real world. Also back to produce are Matt Tolmach, Johnson, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Kasdan. Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg are writing the screenplay.

Thhe threequel’s cast also includes Rhys Darby and Nick Jonas. Brittany O’Grady can also be spotted in the trailer. Set to Europe’s “The Final Countdown,” ostriches, rhinoceroses, lizards, oxes and more creatures cause chaos in the clip.

Footage played for the room only at CinemaCon opened on a computer repairman (Lamorne Morris) coming into the home of Janice (Marin Hinkle), the mother of Wolf’s teen protagonist. Of course, Morris’ repairman finds an old video game console before the exterior of a house is shown with supernatural clouds brewing over it and a shot of ostriches storming through the streets of the real world.

Jumanji: Open World is the third film in a series from Sony reimagining the property, about teens pulled into the world of a game, for a modern audience. First, there was Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (2017), and then there was Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). Both films starred Johnson, Hart, Black and Gillan as players in the Jumanji video game world, with Wolff, Madison Iseman, Morgan Turner, and Ser’Darius Blain playing the real-world teenage counterparts of the avatars.

Based on the children’s book by by Chris Van Allsburg, Sony’s new Jumanji films come on the heels of the original 1995 film iteration, a classic directed by Joe Johnston and starring Robin Williams, Kirsten Dunst and Bonnie Hunt, which told the story of a supernatural board game that unleashes jungle-based dangers into the real world. Welcome to the Jungle grossed over $962M worldwide, while The Next Level followed with more than $801 million globally.

1995 film star Dunst will soon be seen alongside current star Black in the second Minecraft movie, titled Minecraft: Squared.
