EXCLUSIVE: Oscar nominee Abigail Breslin (Little Miss Sunshine), Yasmin Kassim (You, Always) and Booboo Stewart (Twilight) are set to star in Pipe Cleaner Boy, a female-led road comedy written and directed by Anna Rose Moore.

Plot details are being kept under wraps but we understand the story follows “a young woman suddenly unsure if she’s been climbing the right career ladder”. A shoot date has yet to be revealed.

The film is produced by Brynn Lucas (Bringing Back Young Justice), Charles Papert (Key & Peele) and Mark Myers of Citizen Skull (HBO’s Streetgang), in association with Cris Cordero’s Paravox (Dream Baby Dream). Casting is by Ricki Maslar.

Moore most recently wrote the upcoming comedy feature, Adulting, for BuzzFeed Studios, starring Leighton Meester, Tyler Posey and Sherry Cola and directed by Maureen Bharoocha. Pipe Cleaner Boy marks her feature directorial debut, with Charles Papert (Key & Peele) as cinematographer.

“There is a specific sweet spot for a film like Pipe Cleaner Boy,” sayid producer Brynn Lucas. “A cast that is trusted and loved by audiences, a female-led team pushing the envelope for fresh voices in both directing and producing, and a script that deeply resonates with Gen Z. Anna Rose’s script is funny, irreverent, and captures what it feels like to be a young woman suddenly unsure if she’s been climbing the right ladder.”

Abigail Breslin is represented by Paradigm and Untitled Entertainment. Yasmin Kassim is represented by 3 Arts Entertainment,  Independent Artist Group and Active Artists Management. Booboo Stewart is represented by Sovereign Talent Group and TSC Entertainment. Moore is represented by Bellevue Productions.
