Dr. Samira Mohan might have clocked out of The Pitt, but Supriya Ganesh is still locked in.
Nearly six months after the actress, who portrayed the fan-favorite resident on the Noah Wyle-led series, confirmed her exit from the Emmy-winning show, she shared why she’ll continue to tune in.
“I mean, fan for life,” Ganesh told E! News’ Keltie Knight at Christian Siriano’s NYFW show Sept. 10. “They also gave me such a start to my career. I will watch it to the extent that I watched season one and season two.”
In fact, she admitted she might be even more of a fan in the upcoming season.
“I might watch it more,” she mused. “I get self-conscious about my work so now I don’t have the barrier of watching myself.”
And while Ganesh’s Mohan won’t be learning any more from Wyle’s Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch, the 28-year-old emphasized she learned a lot from the ER alum during her two seasons on the show.
“He was really great about talking about his experience and what it was like being on ER,” she added, “and I feel like I learned a lot about that through him.”
Now, Ganesh is looking forward to trading her scrubs for New York high fashion as she’ll next appear alongside Emily Bader, Logan Lerman and Owen Thiele in the upcoming 13 Going on 30 reboot.
And while she’s not trading Razzles for scoop on the Netflix movie—which has not yet set a release date—Ganesh did tease some of what she’s bringing to her character.
“It’s a commentary I think in a lot of ways on fashion and style,” she explained, “and I was like, I want to see how I can make this character’s things play into it. I just like things to feel a little effortless with a touch of intention. That’s generally my natural inclination. The best I can do is not think too much about things.”
It’s a tried-and-true method even when it comes to Ganesh’s NYFW choices. As she joked, “I’ll suffer a little bit for fashion, but only a little bit.”
