Girls just want to watch Belmont Cameli dance. 

After the Off Campus star performed an iconic mini performance to The Kid Laroi’s song “Girls” in the Prime Video series’ fourth episode, he emphasized he was more than happy to see fans respond so positively. 

“It’s really funny because we shot that scene for a long time,” Cameli told E! News’ Keltie Knight on the MTV VMAs red carpet Sept. 27, “and did a lot of different dances and that little thing is just a piece that they used in the show.”

Of course, Cameli did not expect his Drunk Shakespeare hip swivel to have such an impact, with his moves even being recreated by Dancing With the Stars contestant Tyler Cameron during the competition show’s Sept. 22 episode. However, he’s thrilled to see it take off. 

“I’m glad it resonated with people,” the 28-year-old admitted. “The sexy little dance has had a great moment and I’m very proud of it.”

Nevertheless, when Knight considered whether Cameli had even more sexy little dances up his sleeve, he didn’t hesitate to agree, adding, “Oh yeah.”

But one thing Cameli and his costar Ella Bright—who plays his character Garret Graham’s fake-turned-real girlfriend Hannah Wells in the series—couldn’t get on board with? The speculation of their feud. 

Addressing how fans noticed that she deleted photos of her and Cameli from her social media profiles, Bright joked in a separate E! News interview, “I mean, god forbid I wanted an aesthetic Instagram.”

Luckily, both she and Cameli can laugh at the rumors. 

“We’re in the green room and he’s on his phone scrolling, he’s like, ‘Ha! Remember when we did that?’” Bright recalled. “I was like, ‘That never happened.’”

The 19-year-old emphasized that both she and Cameli found the hysteria “so funny.”

“We’re just laughing about it,” she added. “That’s all you can do.”

Meanwhile, Bright assured that while fans were spinning out about feuds this summer, the Off Campus cast was having the time of their lives filming season two, which is set to premiere next year. 

“It's really fun,” she mused. “There's some really great ensemble moments this year. “Everyone's obviously incredible, and it's so fun to jump back into characters that we really know really well now versus season one, where it's still a bit new and scary.”

And Cameli agreed, adding in his own interview, “This was a very special summer.”
