Hallmark Channel‘s new original movie this weekend is unlike any movie actor Peter Porte has done for the network in the past!
The 42-year-old actor has been starring in Hallmark movies for the past decade and now he’s teaming up with Lyndsy Fonseca for the new rom-com The Love Heist, which also has a mystery twist.
In the new film, celebrity stylist Kayli (Fonseca) must team up with hotel security chief Mills (Porte) to track down an iconic piece of fashion history after it goes missing on her watch before the Chicago Costume Gala.
Lyndsy Fonseca and Peter Porte are describing the movie in their own words!
Lyndsy used three words to describe the movie: “Fashion. Love. Mystery.”
Peter added, “What are three words I would use to describe this film? Fresh! I don’t think I’ve ever done a Hallmark like this before. So fresh. Exciting. Spicy. And very, very romantic. We’ve got some incredible locations we’re shooting in, some really beautiful sets, and an impossibly gorgeous leading lady.”

Lyndsy and Peter are both longtime Hallmark favorites!
Lyndsy is best known for her work on shows like Nikita, Desperate Housewives and 9-1-1: Lone Star, but she has been in plenty of Hallmark movies as well.
Most recently, she appeared in the 2025 holiday film Single on the 25th and she also starred in North to Home, Next Stop, Christmas, and Where Are You, Christmas?
Peter is best known to Hallmark Channel fans as a regular on the series Chesapeake Shores and he has also starred in plenty of original films for the network. You might also recognize him from The Young and The Restless and Baby Daddy.
