Connie Britton and Sam Nivola have teamed up for a new Hulu series!
The 59-year-old actress and the 23-year-old actor, who starred in separate seasons of The White Lotus, play mother and son in the upcoming coming-of-age mystery, Phony, and the trailer was just unveiled.
What is Phony about?
Phony is a coming-of-age mystery about a teenager who wakes up in the hospital after a car accident to discover his mom — his only parent and best friend — appears to have been replaced by an impostor.
Who else stars in the show?
In addition to Connie and Sam, the upcoming series also stars Grace Brennan, Maliq Johnson, Colter Lee, Meera Syal, and Mahaela Park.
Nick Paley created the series, wrote the first two episodes, and directs half of the first season. He also executive produces alongside co-showrunner Anthony King, Connie Britton, Charlie Alderman, and Drew Goddard and Sarah Esberg.
When does Phony premiere?
The half-hour series is set to premiere on Tuesday, October 20th on Hulu.
