Gigi Zumbado and Curtis Hamilton will appear in recurring guest star roles
The series adaptation of Elsie Silver’s “Rose Hill” novels at Amazon Prime Video has added three series regulars and two recurring guest stars, Variety has learned.
Siobhan McGroarty (“Law & Order,” “VHS: Kidprint”), Sophia Reid-Gantzert (“Free Bert,” “The Babysitters Club”), and West Mulholland (“Presence,” “Little Fires Everywhere”) will appear as series regulars, with Gigi Zumbado (“DMV,” “The Lincoln Lawyer”) and Curtis Hamilton (“Surviving Compton,” “Insecure”) set as recurring guest stars.
The new additions join previously announced series leads Jake Weary, Sean O’Pry, Hannah Galway, and Sadie Dickerson.
The logline for the series states that it follows “best friends and neighbors West Belmont (Weary), a rancher with commitment issues, and brooding record label owner Ford Grant (O’Pry), aka Forbes’ ‘World’s Hottest Billionaire,’ who’s long carried a torch for West’s sister, Rosie (Galway). And when country-pop star Skylar Stone (Dickerson) breezes into their rugged mountain town, the heat gets turned way up in this romantic family drama.”
McGroarty will play Cora’ with Reid-Gantzert set as Emmy Belmont and Mulholland as Oliver Belmont. Zumbado as will play Tabitha and Hamilton will play Bash Rousseau.
McGroarty is repped by Rebel Creative Group and Vainshtein Law. Reid-Gantzert is repped by Innovative Artists, Skrzyniarz & Mallean, and Trademark Talent. Mulholland is repped by Seven Summits Management, Osbrink Agency, Jackoway Austen Tyerman, and imPRint. Zumbado is repped by Innovative, Artists First, and Goodman Genow. Heidi Cole McAdams serves as writer, showrunner, and executive producer on “Rose Hill.” Marc Webb will direct the first two episodes and executive produce. Silver serves as an executive producer alongside Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman for Temple Hill. Annika Patton of Temple Hill will co-executive produce.
There are currently four books in the “Rose Hill” series — “Wild Love,” “Wild Eyes,” “Wild Side,“ and “Wild Card.” In addition to those books, Silver has also published five “Chestnut Springs” books and four “Gold Rush Ranch” novels.
Amazon has found considerable success in recent years with shows based on novel series. Among their current shows, they have hits like: “Reacher,” based on Lee Child’s Jack Reacher books; “Cross,” based on James Patterson’s Alex Cross; and the YA drama “The Summer I Turned Pretty,” based on Jenny Han’s novel trilogy of the same name. The streaming arm of the tech giant is also currently developing a series version of Rebecca Yarros’ Empyrean series, beginning with “Fourth Wing,” among several other projects.
