EXCLUSIVE: Another creator-focused management business is building out on both coasts.
Shana Davis-Ross’s Ponte Firm, which represents lifestyle creators such as Kit Keenan and Audrey Peters, has hired hired four leadership-level execs – two in New York and two in L.A. – and promoted another to a senior role in Texas.
Jenna Bissonnette has hired as Managing Director of the NYC office, with Jenna Galan joining her on the East Coast as Director, Talent and Partnerships. In L.A., Roy Peters becomes SVP, Talent and Partnerships and Matthew Bojanic is hired as Director, Talent and Partnerships. Texas-based Annie Leggett has been upped from Talent Manager to Senior Talent Manager.
Bissonnette – an experienced brand, digital and integrated strategy talent manager – joins from HangarFour Creative, a division of DKC, where she has spent eight years. She will lead on talent management and operations.
Peters has two decades of experience working at the likes of The Digital Dept., Fullscreen, StyleHaul and The Sociable Society. He will oversee Ponte’s influencer and celebrity talent out of the Los Angeles office.
Bojanic has been in creator management and brand-side influencer strategy for 15 years, most recently working at Smashbox Cosmetics, and will now oversee lifestyle and digital celebrity verticals. Galan, previously Director of Digital, Talent Management at Night Media, will lead on talent strategy, brand partnerships and business development for Ponte’s NYC creator and media personality roster.
With the creator economy continuing to boom, more digital talent is looking for management and guidance, leading to spate of agencies expanding over recent months. Many creators are seeking opportunities in entertainment or to better distribute the content they are making.
Ponte’s management says the hires come during a period of major growth, with revenue up 49% year-over-year. Though the company primarily operates in brand partnerships with the likes of Chanel and Target, it is also operating in publishing, consumer products, licensing, podcasts and television.
“As creators build businesses and careers that increasingly span media, consumer brands, publishing, podcasts and entertainment, the opportunity in front of them is moving faster than ever,” said Ponte Firm founder Davis-Ross. “We want to be leading that charge alongside them, making sure the management infrastructure around their businesses evolves just as quickly.
“As Ponte continues to grow significantly year over year, expanding our leadership in New York and Los Angeles gives our clients deeper access to the relationships, expertise and opportunities they need to build bigger businesses and capitalize on what’s next.”
